I’ve photographed so many brand‑new babies over the years, but I truly never take that privilege for granted. Your baby will always be handled with the utmost care. With 17 years of experience and being a mom myself, I know firsthand how fleeting these early moments are and how much you’ll treasure these photos as time goes by. The newborn phase is unbelievably quick – let’s make sure you have beautiful memories to look back on.

Studio Posed or Lifestyle Newborn Photography

I offer two different kinds of newborn sessions; posed in my Wesley Chapel studio, or lifestyle in your own home. Studio sessions include photos of the baby posed on various backgrounds and using props. Lifestyle sessions are more casual, and focus on the family, home environment, and pets. Lifestyle sessions do not include props/baby posing, but I do guide the posing of the family.

Tiffany Walensky Photography is located in Wesley Chapel, FL, which is in Pasco County just north of Tampa. Lifestyle sessions are available anywhere in the Tampa area (Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties)

Newborn sessions take place 1-3 weeks after birth, so it is best to schedule well before you deliver to guarantee availability. Newborn sessions are scheduled in the morning time around 9am.

Studio/posed newborn sessions: I provide everything needed for the session including all props and wraps. You will be sent a questionnaire so that you can customize the props and colors used.

Lifestyle newborn sessions: These sessions are more casual and natural, with focus on the family & pets. I do not use props in lifestyle sessions and recommend that baby be swaddled for the session.

Before your session you will be sent a prep guide that will have recommendations for what to wear. In general, I recommend soft neutral colors and outfits that are comfortable. The family should coordinate with each other, but not have everyone wear the exact same color. It’s best to mix and match 2-3 colors that look well together such as white, tan, and light blue or various shades of tan (some light, some darker). For studio sessions, baby will be swaddled in a color that matches. For lifestyle sessions, I recommend putting baby in a cute muslin swaddle, and you can use a matching hat or headband if you’d like.

Studio posed newborn sessions take place in studio, where I have access to all the backgrounds, fabrics, lighting, posing pillows, and everything else I need to capture your baby using props such as buckets and baskets. These sessions last 2-4 hours and focus mostly on the baby, although images with baby’s parents/siblings can be included.

Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in your own home, and are more casual and family-focused including siblings and pets. I do not pose the baby or use props, but will take a few images of baby alone, either swaddled or in an outfit.

Newborn Safety

Here are some of the ways I keep your baby safe:

All hard surfaces in the studio are cleaned with Lysol in between sessions
I am fully vaccinated, including COVID
Fabrics are washed with scent-free detergent between uses
I keep my nails short and wash my hands before touching baby
I will always contact you to reschedule if I, or anyone in my family, shows any symptoms of illness
I am always within arm’s reach of the baby during posing in the studio
I use composites (editing my hands out of images) to support baby for certain poses
I have 17 years of experience photographing over 800 newborns
